David’s Country Inn was originally built in 1787 and named
the Warren House in honor of General Joseph Warren who
died at the battle of Bunker Hill in 1775. That structure was
built of logs and most of it was destroyed in a fire. The
existing structure was rebuilt in 1840 and served as a stage coach
stop and inn for 170 years. There were 24 guest rooms on the
second and third floors and two parlor rooms, a bar and dining
         area on the main level.
